Few homes, own fares
Five small ZIPs, one fare table: reserve an airport ride to PHL from Delaware City, Rockland and Yorklyn
Four villages and one campus ZIP in New Castle County sit apart from the bigger ZIPs, and each one still keeps its own fare to Philadelphia International Airport. This page covers an airport ride to PHL from Delaware City, Rockland and Yorklyn, and from Saint Georges and the campus ZIP in Newark as well. Each note below gives road miles, quiet-hour minutes and the from-figures for a sedan and an SUV, counted per car and each way. After your written yes and the car company's confirmation, that company drives you.
| ZIP | Mail reads | Sedan from | SUV from | Road miles to PHL | Quiet-hour minutes | Places inside |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 19732 | Rockland | $140 | $190 | 20.8 | 37 | Rockland, Rockland Woods |
| 19736 | Yorklyn | $155 | $210 | 27.1 | 44 | Yorklyn |
| 19717 | Newark | $170 | $230 | 34.5 | 50 | the campus ZIP in Newark |
| 19706 | Delaware City | $170 | $230 | 35.4 | 53 | Delaware City |
| 19733 | Saint Georges | $175 | $235 | 37.3 | 50 | Saint Georges |
Each figure here is a starting price for one car, one way. The written fare from the car company may add a gratuity it does not include, extra stops, waiting beyond the time it names, and an airport charge or toll where one applies.

Why does a small ZIP get its own row?
Every fare on the site follows the ZIP of the pickup or drop-off address, because the town printed on the mail says little about how far a house sits from the terminals. A small ZIP can lie close to the airport or a long way from it. Here Rockland is 20.8 miles out and Saint Georges 37.3, and their sedan figures, $140 and $175, follow that gap.
Names cross ZIP lines too. Yorklyn has 19736 to itself, yet Yorklyn also shows up among the places of 19707, the Hockessin ZIP, so two Yorklyn houses can land in different rows. The campus ZIP shares its town name with three other Newark ZIPs, all set out in airport transfer fares for the Newark, DE ZIP codes. Read the five digits on your own mail and use that row.
A pickup point the driver can find
A campus residence or a house on a quiet village street needs a little more on the request than a number and a road name. Give the building name and the entrance you will walk out of, or the side of the street and something the driver can spot from the car, such as a porch light or a gate. When the door itself is hard to reach by car, name one meeting point close by: a corner, a parking lot entrance or a marked drop-off loop.
Tick the box under the phone field if the office and the car company that takes the ride may call or text that number about this ride; replying STOP ends texts. Without the box, replies come by email and the driver may call only on the day of the ride.
Available dates depend on the car companies, so name the day of your flight and the pickup time you want, and the office looks for a company with a car free then. After your yes, the company confirms in writing with its name, the car and the pickup time.
